ABOUT DOWNTOWN SAN JOSE

Downtown San Jose benefits from a central location, a strong amenity base, and good access to public transportation. Two of San Jose's VTA light rail lines stop on First and Second streets, and BART is being expanded to nearby Diridon Station, which Amtrak and Caltrain currently serve. Brittain Cheney, Managing Director
Brittain offers over twenty-two years of diverse commercial real estate knowledge and expertise. His unique skill set combines brokerage skills with in-depth knowledge of leasing, operations & management. His overall strategic market perspective combined with his transactional expertise make him a valuable asset in today’s real estate climate.   Before joining Cushman & Wakefield in San Jose, Brittain was Senior Director at Cushman & Wakefield of San Diego-North County. There he focused on representing Tenants in pursuit of Office/R&D and Corporate Headquarters sites.  Prior to that, he served as Vice President of Leasing with the Irvine Company where he was responsible for the leasing and strategic management of a 7.2 million square foot portfolio of Class “A” Office and R&D properties in the Greater San Diego area.  Before the Irvine Company, Brittain served as Managing Director of Leasing for the Silicon Valley portfolio of Equity Office Properties (EOP). He was responsible for leading the strategic direction of a public institutional owner changing to a private value-add entity, during the acquisition by the Blackstone Group.
Erik Hallgrimson, Vice Chairman
Erik Hallgrimson, CCIM joined Cushman & Wakefield (formerly CPS, Cassidy Turley & DTZ) in 1999 and served as Senior Vice President, Principal until 2011 when he became a Partner. Currently, Erik serves as Executive Managing Director specializing in Office, R&D, Mixed-Use and Land and Investment Sales.  Prior to joining the company, Erik worked at Andersen Consulting from 1996 to 1999.  Areas of expertise include Office, R&D, Manufacturing and Warehouse, Brokerage, and Investment Sales. Prior to working with Cushman & Wakefield, Mr. Hallgrimson worked with Andersen Consulting from 1996-1999 after receiving his Bachelor of Business Administration from University of San Francisco in 1996. Steve Horton, Executive Vice Chairman
Steve Horton joined Cushman & Wakefield (formerly CPS) in 1993 and served as Senior Vice President until becoming Partner in 2010. Currently, Steve serves as Vice Chairman specializing in R&D, Office, and Industrial Brokerage, R&D Development, and Land and Investment Properties. Steve brings over 25 years of commercial real estate knowledge and experience. Prior to joining the company, Steve was a Sales Consultant at West Bay Commercial from 1991 to 1993. Steve received a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1991 from the University of Southern California.  Selected significant client relationships include Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), AMB Institutional Realty Advisors, CarrAmerica, Legacy Partners, Maxtor Corporation, MMC Technologies, Mozart Development SIRF Technology, Space Systems/Loral, State of California, The Archon Group, and Transmeta Corporation, and many others. Kelly Yoder, Director
Kelly Yoder joined Cushman & Wakefield (formerly CPS) in 2007. Kelly is a Silicon Valley native, attended Archbishop Mitty High School, and received her Bachelor of Science from University of California Riverside. Working closely with Steve Horton, specializing in Office, R&D, Leasing and Sales, Kelly brings more than 12 years of commercial real estate knowledge and experience. Her clients appreciate her knowledge of the market, loyalty and responsiveness. Prior to joining the company, Kelly worked in the research department at Grubb & Ellis from 2005 to 2007.
Jack Cheney, Associate Broker
Jack is a motivated and entrepreneurial professional with a strong foundation in tenant advisory and data analytics. He currently serves as an Associate Broker in the Tenant Advisory Services group at Cushman & Wakefield, based in Silicon Valley, where he supports occupiers in navigating complex real estate decisions. Prior to his full-time role, Jack completed two internships with Cushman & Wakefield, gaining hands-on experience in tenant representation, data analysis, and digital tools like Matterport 3D. His background also includes ownership of Buzz Delivery LLC, where he demonstrated business acumen and operational leadership. Additionally, Jack held analyst roles at SprintRay Inc., contributing to both data analysis and sales operations. With a blend of analytical expertise, client service orientation, and entrepreneurial drive, Jack brings a well-rounded and proactive approach to the commercial real estate industry.
