LOCATION
Glasgow is Scotland’s largest city and is situated on the west coast. There are four main motorways which run through the city putting it at the hub of Scotland’s road network. The City sits approximately 50 miles west of Edinburgh and connects via the M8, the main motorway network serving central Scotland.
Dennistoun is located circa 2 miles east of Glasgow city centre. The subjects are situated on the south side of Birkenshaw Street which joins Cumbernauld Road. This is a busy road junction with a considerable volume of passing traffic. Convenient access to public transport links are provided with Alexandra Parade Railway Station only a 3 minute walk north whilst numerous bus services operate on Alexandra Parade & Cumbernauld Road. Junction 14 of the M8 is only 2 minutes’ drive to the north.
DESCRIPTION
The subjects comprise a triangle shaped site with 2 terraces of 14 storage/starter units in total. Access to the site is provided via a secure cast iron gate. The units are constructed with masonry walls and concrete floors under timber roof trusses which are covered with profile metal sheets. Artificial lighting to the units is provided by fluorescent strip tubes. Male and female WC’s are located close to the entrance to the site. The surrounding area is residential and commercial in nature.
