Swadlincote is the largest town in South Derbyshire having a population of approximately 28,000 and an estimated catchment area in excess of 100,000. It is located some 5 miles from Burton on Trent, a similar distance from Ashby de la Zouch and 15 miles, or thereabouts, south west of Derby.
