With consent to develop a key strategic rail freight interchange and offering up to eight million square feet of Grade A logistics accommodations, this DCO-approved site is an advantageous new campus ready to support growing businesses. Sustainability is at the heart of West Midlands Interchange development, with carbon emissions amongst the lowest for an industrial estate of this size. Occupy BREEAM Excellent-rated units with photovoltaic panels, solar panels, and EV charging points, and enjoy a carefully considered design to minimise environmental impact and support occupiers to achieve their ESG targets. Built to Net Zero Carbon in construction with future-proof energy-generation measures in place, West Midlands Interchange is here to support your green ambitions. West Midlands Interchange is located in a highly sought-after location close to two of the UK's most important transport routes: the West Coast Mainline and the M6 motorway. Primed for national and international logistics-focused operations, this brand-new campus development can efficiently serve transport via road, rail, air, and sea. Bordered by the A449 to the west and the A5 to the north, the new A5/A449 link road opens up a new, publicly accessible route, reshaping and improving transport through the area. The West Midlands Interchange's new strategic rail freight interchange, due to be operational by 2026, will also provide a cleaner, greener, and more efficient alternative to the UK's road network, producing 70% less carbon dioxide, up to 15 times lower nitrogen oxide emissions, and nearly 90% lower particulate emissions than road freight tonne for tonne.
