Durham is a largely rural county in North East England, bordered by Cumbria, North Yorkshire, Tyne and Wear, and Northumberland. Several small urban areas around the city of Durham, together with the towns of Peterlee and Seaham, form the focal points of the local office market, which counts Atom Bank, Great Annual Savings Group and the UK government among its most notable occupiers.
